Scuba at Redang Terengganu

Last Saturday, I went scuba diving in in the Redang Reefs just off the coast of Terengganu, Malaysia. Yes Sir, scuba diving there provides an exhilarating experience, revealing
spectacular underwater scenary with thousands of different kinds of fish and beautiful reefs.

Indeed, Scuba diving has been a particular pleasure in Terengganu, as the diversity of fish and coral commonly found here is breathtaking. It is also a spectacular site for the variety of marine life inhabiting that particular area.

A multitude of different species of fish hide in the recesses of the corals or glide in and out of it. You can see clouds of angel fish and fusiliers that swirl all around you. Schools of barracuda with 30 to 50 in each group circled around us curiously. Groupers in hunting groups of 6 or 7 floated defiantly like groups of sharks.

Then a solitary scorpion fish lay on the sand, not bothering to disguise itself. We also spotted a huge blue spotted ray, partially covered in sand and keeping a wary eye on us. A couple
of baby squids raced past us. We also encountered one very large stingray, groupers, moorish idol and angel fish . There was, no doubt, an abundance of regular reef fish all around us. It was certainly an exhilarating experience and one that will definitely be repeated again in the not too distant future.

I dreamt of datin last night...
